Inspired by a ceramic wall clock made by Margarete Heymann-Loebenstein. CLOCK is a typeface that began unusually—with numbers and arrows instead of letters. 'oldgranny'—the OG version—was later revisioned as CLOCK-notRegular.

Xiaoyuan's note:
CLOCK-oldgranny is the first typeface I have made, its quirkiness comes from the younger version of me, knowing very little about the "standards"/ "rules" of type design, (tbh, I still don't know much about it. It's okay, and it's a choice. ) This typeface is done by intuition, pleasure, and passion of "just wanted to make something that I can use it for typing".

Xiaoyuan Gao (She/Her) is a Rotterdam-based freelance graphic designer, image-maker, type designer and the initiator of “notyourtypefoundry”. While experimenting with unconventional approaches to type design and typesetting, she sees type design as a tool making process.
